Day 1: Addis Ababa
City tour of Addis Ababa Founded in the late 1880s by Emperor Menelik II todays has many things to show our visit including the, trinity cathedral, National Museum, Drive on slopes of Mount Entoto panoramic view point to admire a beautiful panoramic view of the city (over 3000 meter above sea level), and the largest market in Africa called Merkato. Day 2:Fly to Mekelle drive to Ahmed Ela
visiting the people of Tigre and the nomadic people of Afar. At Ahmed Ela, visit the deep-water wells used by the nomadic people of Afar, and the interesting Camel Caravans, which transport bars of salt to the Tigray Highlands. O/N – Camping
In the morning, drive to one of the lowest points on earth, Dallol (116 meters below sea level) to see the wonderful and colourful formation of sulfur and phosphorus. And after lunch you will visit the salt lake of Asale and discover how people get salt in traditional ways. O/N – Camping
Day 4: Dodom
Drive to Dodom, and after arranging mules to transport luggage and camping gear, and around the sunset start hiking to the active volcanic eruption of Erta’ale, which takes about 5 – 6 hours. Spend, the rest of the night at the rim.O/N – Camping
Day 5: Semera
Early in the morning Trek back to the place where you left your cars, and drive to the salt lake of Afdera. Have lunch at the shore or the view point area then drive to semera for overnight. Overnight Semera.
Day 6: Awash
Drive from Semera to Awash National park on the route pass though different landscapes from the desert to the Rift valley system, late in the afternoon arrive at Awash National Park. Overnight Awash
Day 7: Awash to Addis
After Breakfast visit the waterfall at Awash National Park, where it is called but is very impressive. White-bellied, Buff-crested and Arabian bustard is possible.
There are also many species of vultures, see. Raptors, and weaver species A special type is the rosy-patched shrike we are trying to find and looking for big game after Lunch Drive to Addis Ababa
